Strong 4Cr14 steel in Kershaw Raygun 1427

The Chinese 4Cr14 steel used in the knife is readily used in budget knives. Nevertheless, it offers very high corrosion resistance. Its main features are ease of sharpening and lower hardness, making it suitable for everyday tasks for less demanding users.

Robust Liner Lock blade lock

Liner-Lock is the most common lock among knives. The locking is done with the help of a spring-loaded wing that is an integral part of one of the sides of the handle. When the knife is opened, the plate bends diagonally to the inside of the handle and clasps the back of the blade, preventing its return movement. To unlock the blade, simply bend the plate and fold the blade by hand.

Durable and lightweight GFN handle

The knife's handle is made of glass fiber reinforced nylon (GFN/FRN). This material is characterized by lightness, durability and resistance to moisture, mechanical damage and temperature changes. GFN is often used in budget knives for universal use, as it provides excellent value for money.

Clip for attaching the knife to a belt or pocket

The knife has a high-set, spring-loaded clip that can be attached to either side of the handle. It allows you to carry the folder deep in a trouser pocket or backpack. As a result, the Kershaw Iridium folding knife is a perfect complement to your EDC kit.
