Company was founded in Halmstad town when J.Hellstrom and director M.Johansson started to manufacture multifunction centers with hardened steel for weightlifting sport.

In 1963 Eleiko bars was first used in international weightlifting championship. From that time Eleiko became official equipment supplier for Weightlifting and Powerlifting championships.
