Disc Throw is an athletics match in which a competitor who drops a heavy circular disc competes. The disc is thrown from a 2.5 m diameter wheel. The throwing sector is fenced and has an open gap of 35-40 degrees for throwing. Athletes are not allowed to leave this sector until the disc has fallen to the ground. The throw distance is calculated from the sector boundary to the original point of disc drop.
