CROSS Avalon Trek 28" size 19" (48cm) (blue, matte)

The frame is sturdy, with a geometry similar to a mountain bike, but shaped for a more upright riding position than a mountain bike – less strain on the hands and better visibility. Designed for longer journeys, it is often adapted for mounting various accessories such as mudguards and racks.

The material is aluminium, the most widely used. It is lighter than steel and stronger than carbon fibre. It is used in the manufacture of various types of bicycles and offers the best price-to-weight ratio.

Plastic mudguards are often fitted to keep the overall weight of the bike to a minimum and to allow an additional rack for carrying items to be mounted.
