Benchmade 15002-1 HUNT Saddle Mountain Skinner is a large fixed blade knife with a full tang construction. Knives made from a single piece of steel (full tang) are resistant to damage and breakage, so they are commonly used for heavier by hunters, survival and bushcraft enthusiasts and soldiers.

The knife has a 107 mm long fixed blade, made of elite CPM-S90V stainless steel, which is hardened to a hardness of 59-61 HRC. CPM-S90V is a luxury stainless steel with a very high vanadium and carbon content, which make the blade stay sharp for a long time, highly resistant to abrasion and corrosion. When choosing a hard steel knife, get a diamond sharpener, as sharpening with a standard ceramic whetstone can be very labor-intensive and inefficient.

The wide, flat-ground blade has a distinctly rounded belly, which, combined with the utilitarian drop point profile, provides excellent cutting performance and high resistance to damage The back and front of the blade have been cross-milled to create a stable point of support for the fingers.
