The Gerber survival knife is packed with innovations, making it a multi-talent. The knife has a drop-point blade made of 7Cr17MoV stainless steel with a partial serrated edge, a textured rubber handle, a steel hammer pommel and an emergency whistle. A fire steel is in the knife sheath for use together with the back of the blade. A knife sharpener in the sheath allows for instant re-sharpening.
