Betaine HCl - Betaine hydrochloride is the acidic form of betaine, a source of hydrogen chloride stomach acid. It is vital for the digestive process, as it promotes the breakdown and use of nutrients. Betaine hydrochloride improves this process by increasing the amount of digestive juices, regulates the concentration of beneficial bacteria and stimulates fermentation processes in the stomach. This reduces stomach discomfort, neutralises bloating and gas, and takes part in the growth of the enzyme pepsin, which supports the breakdown and use of proteins. In this way the active ingredient improves protein synthesis and contributes to muscle growth.
