QUALITY GUARANTEE
Modern products are usually not only good-looking but also hide many technical features and details that are not visible, yet significantly improve the quality of the product and make it exceptional. For self-inflating mats, 3 factors matter most: 1) low weight, 2) small packed volume and 3) long service life.
We achieve low weight by selecting the highest quality materials for both the surface and the core. The material must be light, yet strong and durable. We also reduce weight by lightening the inner foam. However, this must not come at the expense of comfort and good insulation. The choice of material and the lightening have a significant effect on the packed size of the product.
All our products have a double layer of air-loss insulation laminated to the top fabric. This ensures high protection and a long service life. Every mat is tested for 24 hours after manufacture, eliminating the risk of a defective product being delivered from production.
THERMAL RESISTANCE
A value increasingly stated for sleeping mats. Thermal resistance - R is a physical quantity expressing the thermal insulation properties of a material. It depends directly on the thickness of the material and λ. To achieve the highest possible R value, the aim is for the material to be as thick as possible and for the λ value of the individual materials to be as low as possible. Thermal resistance R expresses the resistance of 1 m2 of material to the passage of thermal energy at a temperature difference of 1 K. The thermal conductivity coefficient λ expresses the ability of a material to conduct heat. It is the amount of energy in W that passes through a material 1 m thick at a temperature difference of 1 K between its surfaces. Legend: R = d / λ (m2.K.W-1); d - material thickness (m); λ - thermal conductivity coefficient of the material (W.m-1.K-1).
NON-SLIP SURFACE "YATE Micro Brushed"
Outdoors, the sleeping spot is often not perfectly flat, so even a comfortable mat may not fully serve its purpose if you slide off it in your sleeping bag. For this reason, we developed a special "Micro Brushed" surface finish that increases friction and prevents the sleeping bag from slipping.
About Yate
YATE was founded in 1991 and at first focused only on business activities in the field of sports, camping and outdoor. Since 1995, YATE has been dealing with the processing of polyethylene foam and it has gradually started to expand its offer with its own products. At first, they were simple products such as seats and floating boards. Gradually, YATE equipped the production with the necessary machines for cutting, cutting, milling, gluing, thermoforming and other material processing, so that YATE is currently able to satisfy almost all customer requirements. Thanks to new technologies, YATE's production has begun to focus on industries other than sports, so YATE currently also produces for the automotive industry, packaging materials and other industries. In sports, YATE still focuses mainly on outdoor and fitness, because there are the main assortment of foam pads (mats, yoga mats, exercise floors, etc.). Since 2014, YATE has also been intensively engaged in the development and production of archery targets that have been developed in company - other than from polyethylene foam.
