My first Opinel No.7 beech handle

Opinel is a French company founded by Joseph Opinel in Savoie, producing folding knives and high-quality kitchen knives.

In 1890, Joseph Opinel designed his first folding knife, the simplicity, functionality and durability of which have stood the test of time, thanks to which, despite the passage of more than 130 years, the Opinel folding knives retained their classic appearance.

The timeless success of Opinel knives was due to their simple construction, consisting of only 4 elements: a blade, a wooden handle, a pin and a metal sleeve that acted as a lock.

Today, Opinel produces knives in carbon and modified steel as well as the popular Swedish 12C27 Sandvik stainless steel. The handles of the knives are made of wood and durable plastic.

The offer of the French company includes traditional folding knives, modern multi-functional knives, mushroom knives, garden knives, and a wide range of knives and kitchen tools.

Opinel  has specialized in the design and production of high-quality knives for more than a hundred years. It is most famous for producing tourist knives, which are considered iconic by users and enthusiasts of this type of accessories around the world. The available products are distinguished primarily by the use of good quality materials , such as carefully selected wood species, extremely durable carbon steel or stainless Swedish steel. Thanks to this, they will serve for a long time, guaranteeing reliability and resistance to mechanical damage. Currently, our online store Kolba.pl offers modern Opinel kitchen knives , ensuring comfort during everyday cooking.
