Description
TheBenchmade 50023 Ferro Rod is a reliable flint designed to be carried in the sheath of Benchmade 200 Puuko and 162 Bushcrafter knives.
The 50023 Ferro Rod flintlock is the result of a collaboration between the Benchmade brand and Exotac, a leader in the creation of fire-starting tools and accessories.
The 14mm-thick threaded rod is made of ferrocerium, a synthetic pyrophoric alloy that produces hot sparks when struck, reaching temperatures as high as 3,000 °C.
The chair works even when wet, during rain, snowfall, at any altitude and latitude. The Benchmade 50023 Ferro Rod fits the sheaths of the Benchmade 200 Puuko and 162 Bushcrafter knives.
The two-piece tang is made of blue anodized aluminum, which stands out against the environment, making it easier to find the flint when put away.
The detachable handle is roomy enough to hold two pieces of quickLIGHT waterproof kindling, giving you a ready-made fire starter kit.
