High-capacity battery and convenient use

The flashlight is powered by a 21700 type cell with a capacity of 6000 mAh. The battery used has almost twice the capacity of a standard 18650 cell, which noticeably increases the flashlight's runtime.

The Fenix TK21R has a built-in USB-C port, allowing the cell to be charged without an additional charger. Charging only requires a standard USB-C cable (included) and a power source, such as a power bank, laptop, desktop computer, or car USB charger. According to the manufacturer, the 21700 battery provides up to 150 minutes of total runtime in 3600-lumen turbo mode. Charging the battery from 1% to 100% should take no longer than 1.5 hours. The use of two springs in the battery compartment ensures stable operation and protects against power interruptions due to drops or weapon recoil.

The flashlight offers 5 continuous light modes: turbo, high, medium, low, and 1 blinking mode: strobe. This allows you to precisely adjust the light output to the situation and your needs. The flashlight is controlled by two buttons at the rear. The round tactical switch is used for quickly turning on momentary or continuous light. The smaller oval function button is used to change brightness and activate strobe mode. This functionality makes the TK21R flashlight convenient to use, and learning the interface takes only a few minutes. The TK21R flashlight uses an LED indicator that informs the user about the battery discharge level. The flashlight also features IPO (intelligent protection against overheating), which protects against excessive surface temperature (max. 60 °C), and APF (advanced transmission technology), which reduces the electronics' sensitivity to interference.

APF technology in the Fenix tactical flashlight

APF has made it possible to change the housing design to a lighter, single-layer construction. Until now, flashlights with a multi-function rear switch required a two-layer housing design for proper conductivity, which increased the flashlight's weight and required a more complex manufacturing process.

The implementation of APF makes it possible to achieve a brightness of more than 2200 lumens and to use both mechanical and digital switches. Additionally, due to the transmission of setting-change signals (from the rear button to the control board) through the housing and resistance to magnetic fields, flashlights with APF technology are more efficient and reliable.
