Technologies:

• OPTICAL GEAR INDICATOR - the optical gear indicator shows which gear is selected while riding. On the lower or upper side you can see how many gears you can choose, making gear shifting easier to control.
• RAPIDFIRE PLUS - Mountain bikers have used RAPIDFIRE Plus since 1985. RAPIDFIRE Plus is still the winning choice of a wide range of cyclists, from XC racers to freeriders. RAPIDFIRE Plus is designed for fast gear changes, allowing cyclists to shift three gears in one go. All RAPIDFIRE Plus shifters from DEORE to XTR feature 2-WAY RELEASE, meaning shifting is done by pulling with the index finger or pressing with the thumb.
