The Silver Surfer first appeared as a superhero in Marvel comics back in 1960. A young astronomer named Norrin Radd from the planet Zenn-La saved his people from Galactus, the devourer of worlds. During this struggle he gained superhuman powers, endurance and the strength to control energy. He also received a new body and a tool - a surfboard on which he can travel faster than light. Time and again our hero has proven that he can journey across different galaxies, and he can take you along with him. He also possesses telepathic abilities and can foresee the future. His silver board flies at the command of his mental powers.

In 2007 the film Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer was released in the United States.
