Shape: Directional Twin

A directional twin combines the freestyle versatility of a twin shape with a subtle directional accent. Although the board is symmetrical and rides switch well, it includes a gentle directional aspect - such as a slightly longer nose or a setback stance - that improves performance in one primary direction. This construction keeps the playful freestyle feel while optimising stability and control, especially in snowy or variable conditions. Ideal for riders who love the park but want more performance on groomers or specific terrain, as the directional twin is a versatile compromise between freestyle agility and directional stability.

Profile: CamRock 1-4-1
CamRock boards have a profile where the centre of the board sits closer to the snow while the nose and tail are lifted.
This increases float in powder, eases turn initiation and is generally more forgiving.
Compared with traditional camber boards, edge hold and stability may be slightly reduced.

1. Extruded
YES Snowboards extruded bases are durable, low-maintenance and economical, making them ideal for beginners and recreational riders. Made by melting and forming polyethylene granules, these bases are less porous, so they need less waxing and are easier to maintain. While sintered bases offer better performance, extruded bases ensure a smoother learning curve and more forgiving riding in varied conditions.

2. Poplar and Paulownia core
The YES Snowboards Poplar/Paulownia core is made of 50% poplar and 50% paulownia. Poplar is light and flexible, boosting agility. The even lighter paulownia reduces weight while keeping strength. This blend creates a light, responsive and durable board that suits many riding styles and conditions.

3. BIAX
Biaxial, or Biax, fibreglass consists of fibres running in two directions, usually along and across the board. This construction provides a balanced flex pattern, making the board more forgiving and easier to control. It increases flex through turns for smoother turns and manoeuvres, which is especially useful for riders who prefer a playful, versatile ride over aggressive riding.

FOREVER FLEX
Forever Flex is a manufacturing process that helps stabilise the board's flex and rocker profile for its entire life. Our boards now finish the first production stages slightly over-bent, then we break them in using a special machine that mimics extreme riding. By flexing the fresh fibre and epoxy at the factory, the materials settle into the board layer as if you had ridden it for 20 days. This process lets us reduce production tolerances, so the board you buy has a more precise bend and rocker profile that changes less as you ride it more.
