Arena Powerskin Primo Closed Back - women's closed-back racing swimsuit

Primo is the world's first tensoelastic racing swimsuit. It combines powerful compression with exceptional stretch in an entirely new way. The suit supports the muscles while allowing plenty of freedom of movement, making this versatile new suit suitable for every swimming style and distance.

The suit is the result of several years of development and research by Arena, carried out in close cooperation with elite swimmers. It cannot be compared to previous racing suits, as it is based on a completely new technology rooted in textile innovation. The word Primo means "first" in Italian.

The suit's new Hyperforce™ fabric is tensoelastic (tension + elasticity): firm yet flexible. Primo combines the highest compression, durability and a completely new kind of stretch throughout. The suit feels pleasant to wear and does not restrict movement.

The Hyperforce™ fabric has a flow-guiding surface that reduces water resistance and improves glide. It is made of naturally water-repellent TPU fibre, which further improves hydrodynamics. Thanks to the material, the suit can be recycled at the end of its service life.

The front of the suit features the X-tape structure familiar from Arena's Carbon Glide suit, placed inside the suit. The taping follows the shape of an X, supporting and stabilising the core and connecting the upper body to the hips. It helps you notice if the body rotates too far during the stroke and returns you to an economical, streamlined swimming position.

Firm taping runs along the back over the buttocks and rear thighs, inside the suit. This taping lifts the hips and legs, eases leg extension and helps maintain the correct swimming position when tired. The lift is especially noticeable during turns and the dolphin kick.

The stretchy suit is easy to put on, significantly speeding up race-day routines. Primo can be put on in five minutes, whereas a traditional racing suit could take 30-45 minutes. Even so, choose the same size as your previous Arena racing suit or follow the size chart - the ease of putting it on does not indicate whether the size is right. The flexible Primo is comfortable to wear while still delivering top-class compression.

For the first time, an Arena racing suit is available in two different lengths according to upper-body length. The longer length is available in sizes 30-34. Added comfort comes from extra fabric on the straps, and a silicone band at the leg opening keeps the leg in place.
