TheKizer C01c Ki3488A4 carbon is a mini version of the Sheepdog model, designed by Chris Conaway of the Sheepdog Knives manufactory.

Premium steel

The sheepsfoot profile blade is made of CPM-S35VN premium steel hardened to 58-60 HRC. A blade made of such steel is ideal for edc knives, as it is resistant to wear and corrosion, maintains working sharpness for a long time and is relatively easy to sharpen. CPM-S35VN contains niobium carbides, which combine with carbon to increase the hardness of the steel by 15 to 20% (compared to CPM- S30V steel). The addition of vanadium improves strength and impact strength, and creates fine-grained carbides with tremendous hardness, which increase blade retention. Molybdenum is another important alloying component affecting wear resistance. To make the sharpening process easier and faster, we recommend using diamond sharpeners such as the Work Sharp Guided Field Sharpener.

Pleasant to use

The wide blade has a sturdy tip and a straight cutting edge with a flat grind, so the knife can easily handle heavier work as well. The blade is finished with a stonewashed technique, whose uneven texture effectively masks minor scratches from the knife's use. The use of ceramic bearings and a flipper allows the blade to be unfolded smoothly and easily with one hand. This method of unfolding is convenient for both right- and left-handed people. A classic liner-lock is used to lock the blade. When the blade is unfolded, the function of the lock is performed by a spring-loaded liner that rests against the back of the blade, thus protecting it from locking. Liner-lock is prized for its simplicity, functionality and heavy-duty durability.

Comfortable handle

The knife has contoured carbon fiber lin ers attached to steel reinforcing inserts. The main advantages of carbon fiber include lightness, strength and striking appearance. The contoured grip with distinctive milled lines has excellent ergonomics and fits perfectly in any hand. Carrying the knife in your pocket is facilitated by a spring clip attached in the tip-up position (no repositioning).
