Sudoku is a strategy game for one player. The numbers in the Sudoku game are used only for solving the puzzle. There is no arithmetic relationship between the numbers and the solution.
The simple use of process of elimination along with deductive reasoning is used as strategy for this game.
Sudoku’s attraction centers on the fact that while the rules for Sudoku are simple, the deductive reasoning needed to solve the puzzles have varying levels of difficulty.
Puzzles are ranked according to this degree of difficulty. Generally, the greater the given numbers in the starter puzzle, the simpler the solution.
Sudoku is recommended by many teachers as an exercise in logical reasoning.
